Providing Broad Educational and Experiential Opportunities to Local Students through Collaboration with Various Community Organizations

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) Jungnang Career and Vocational Experience Support Center (Jungnang Dream High) has been selected as an ‘Excellent Center’ for three consecutive years in the 2024 Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education’s ‘Career and Vocational Experience Support Center Evaluation.’

This is an official recognition of the achievements in providing practical career and vocational experience opportunities to youth and contributing to the development of their future capabilities.

Conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and targeting 25 career and vocational experience support centers across Seoul, this evaluation comprehensively reviewed three main criteria: ▲on-site monitoring (60%) ▲satisfaction of students and teachers using the center (30%) ▲budget execution inspection (10%) to select outstanding institutions.

The Jungnang Career and Vocational Experience Support Center has operated systematic programs in cooperation with the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center to allow youth to directly experience various occupations and concretely plan their careers. Beyond simple job exploration, it expanded practical vocational experience opportunities linked with the local community and provided customized education reflecting future new industries, receiving high evaluations.

In particular, in 2024, through a fashion designer experience program, students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on design practice and learn about the latest trends in the fashion industry.

Additionally, in collaboration with the Jungnang-gu Urban Agriculture Center, an intelligent farm (smart farm) experience program was operated to support learning sustainable agricultural technologies. Furthermore, new industry vocational experiences linked with the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center and Jungnang-gu Media Center were newly introduced to foster creative capabilities necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.

Along with this, the ‘Jungnang Youth Career Expo,’ which annually attracts about 2,000 youth participants, was successfully held, expanding opportunities to provide diverse career experiences and vocational information.

Based on these efforts and achievements, the center received the 2024 Minister of Education Award, earning high recognition for its professionalism and high-quality program operation in the education field.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “The career exploration and growth of youth is the future of the region,” and added, “We will continue to expand educational infrastructure to cultivate the necessary capabilities in line with the changing job environment.”
