Gwangju Seobu Office of Education Strengthens Capacity of Relationship Recovery Support Team

Gwangju Seobu Office of Education recently conducted a competency enhancement training for the expert members of the School Violence Zero Center Relationship Restoration Support Team.

On the 7th, the Gwangju Education Civic Cooperation Promotion Institute conducted a capacity-building training session for the Relationship Recovery Support Team specialists of the School Violence Zero Center. Provided by Gwangju Office of Education

According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 9th, the Relationship Restoration Support Team operates customized programs to resolve school violence cases with a focus on reconciliation and relationship restoration, and to help students adapt. To this end, the Seobu Office of Education secured a pool of 56 members on the 28th of last month by appointing personnel from the Nonviolent Peace Education Center, Korea Institute for Democratic Peace Education, Good Neighbors, and other organizations.

This training was led by Kim Yongwon, supervisor of the Physical Education and Character Education Support Division at the Seobu Office of Education, focusing on techniques and strategies for relationship restoration. Support was provided to ensure systematic and professional programs could be operated on site.

Superintendent Lee Seongcheol stated, "We will strengthen our expertise in relationship restoration and conflict resolution to establish a sustainable school violence prevention system," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that students can enjoy a safe and healthy school life."
