Choi Chang-won, Chairman of the SK Supex Council, has been elected as the 9th Chairman of the Board of Seoul National University.
Seoul National University announced on the 8th that it held a board meeting on the 18th of last month and elected Chairman Choi as the Chairman of the Board. His term will last until January 21 of next year.
Chairman Choi, who leads the Supex Council, the highest management consultative body of SK Group, is the youngest son of the late Choi Jong-gun, the founding chairman of SK Group, and the cousin of Chairman Choi Tae-won. He is also the CEO of SK Discovery, the group's intermediate holding company.
Chairman Choi has been serving as a board member of Seoul National University since January 22 of last year. Seoul National University does not set a separate term for the chairman of the board, allowing the chairman to serve during the board member's term.
