Choi Hwasam, a preliminary candidate for Damyang County Governor from the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 7th, "The court's decision to cancel the detention of President Yoon Sukyeol is extremely wrong," and urged, "The cancellation of the detention must be revoked."

On this day, Choi released a press statement saying, "President Yoon Sukyeol is the leader of a rebellion who caused fear among the people and plunged the entire country into a state of terror through martial law," and added, "Releasing President Yoon is like handing a knife to a mentally ill person."
