Gyeonggi Province will provide expert consulting support to 100 business sites generating fugitive dust by November.
This project focuses on finding solutions through on-site expert consulting tailored to the characteristics of each business site to address ongoing complaints caused by a lack of specialized knowledge and inadequate management of fugitive dust business sites.
The consulting target sites are those emitting large amounts of fine dust, where issues such as complaints and administrative sanctions due to non-compliance with laws have occurred. The entrusted institutions will be selected through a public contest and a selection committee from organizations and groups with specialized knowledge.
Gyeonggi Province will provide a total of 60 million KRW in support, and the consulting support team will use fine dust measuring devices to identify problems on-site and provide consulting on solutions. A reporting session on excellent cases will be held, and commendations will be given to business sites with outstanding improvements.
Lee Yoon-sung, Director of the Air Environment Management Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will reduce complaints caused by fugitive dust, which accounts for about 78% of fine dust emissions in the province," and added, "We will ensure proper management of emission sources to improve the air environment so that residents can enjoy clean air."
