The eligible vehicles include diesel vehicles with emission grades 4 and 5 (grade 5 includes fuels other than diesel), road construction machinery of type 3 manufactured before August 31, 2009, and forklifts and excavators manufactured before December 31, 2004.

Eligible vehicles must have been continuously registered in Gimcheon City for at least six months as of the application date and must receive a "normal operation" assessment on the early scrappage eligibility certificate. In addition, there must be no outstanding local taxes or environmental improvement charges.

The application period is from March 7 to April 4. More detailed information can be found in the notices section of the Gimcheon City Hall website.

Lim Changhyun, head of the Environmental Hygiene Division of Gimcheon City, said, "The early scrappage support program for old diesel vehicles, which is one of the key policies for reducing fine dust, is expected to contribute to creating a pleasant atmospheric environment," and added, "We ask for the active participation of all citizens."
