Green Plus achieved its highest-ever performance last year, recording 79.4 billion KRW in standalone annual revenue and 6.9 billion KRW in operating profit. These results do not include revenue from Australia. The company expects even higher growth in 2025 as additional results are reflected.
On March 6, Green Plus announced that its consolidated annual revenue for last year reached 87.6 billion KRW, representing a 49% increase compared to the previous year. During the same period, operating profit and net profit came to 2.4 billion KRW and 200 million KRW, respectively, marking a return to profitability for the first time in five years. This allowed the company to completely resolve subsidiary-related risks and establish a stable foundation for growth.
A Green Plus representative stated, "Sales increased significantly thanks to the recovery of the smart farm market in Japan and the continued growth of the domestic smart farm market. In addition, the expansion of sales in the aluminum division for electric vehicles contributed to improved results." The representative added, "In 2025, we expect to set new records for both revenue and operating profit, driven by the largest-ever domestic and international order backlog and Green K Farm, our subsidiary, reaching its break-even point (BEP)."
In 2024, Green Plus is actively expanding its global smart farm business. The company has achieved notable results in the Australian market, signing a contract with PureGreen Farms to build a 15-hectare (㎡) strawberry smart farm worth 81 billion KRW, with construction preparations underway. In addition, Green Plus is set to sign a contract with the University of Queensland for the construction of a research smart farm. The company also plans to collaborate with the Queensland state government to promote the Smart Farm Innovation Valley project. These initiatives are expanding the business from traditional B2B (business-to-business) to B2G (business-to-government), establishing a long-term business foundation.
Domestically, Green Plus has secured and is carrying out contracts for "region-specialized rental smart farms" in Shinan, Jeonnam; Yanggu, Gangwon; Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk; and Sangju, Gyeongbuk. Through these projects, the company is providing existing farmers with the latest smart farm technologies, expanding opportunities for technical education and practical training, and connecting these efforts to operational businesses.
Meanwhile, the aluminum division is also accelerating its global market strategy. Green Plus has signed supply contracts for aluminum materials for storage tanks in the North American electric vehicle market, as well as in Saudi Arabia and Africa, thereby strengthening its market position.
Jung Soontae, CEO of Green Plus, stated, "Building on last year's achievements in the global smart farm market, we plan to continue aggressive business expansion this year. In particular, we aim to achieve sustained growth and establish ourselves as a leading global smart farm company by entering not only the Australian and Japanese markets but also the Chinese market."
