According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 6th, Superintendent Lee Jungseon visited Germany on the 5th and agreed with Minister of Education Stefanie Hubig to strengthen cooperation in areas such as vocational education, mathematics and science, and STEAM education. The two institutions plan to sign a memorandum of understanding in the first half of this year.
The city education office will introduce Germany's advanced vocational education system to local schools to promote customized vocational education and activate exchanges in mathematics, science, and STEAM education. Through this, they expect to effectively promote various educational innovation projects, such as the "Creating Schools Without Math Dropouts" initiative and the Nobel Prize in Science project.
Superintendent Lee said, "Rhineland-Palatinate is a region that leads innovative education policies even in Germany," and added, "We will continue to expand global educational cooperation to provide students with broader learning opportunities."
