According to the county on the 6th, the school complex facility project is supervised by the Ministry of Education and targets projects that can be used to improve both student education and the residential environment of local residents. As Imsil is a population-declining area, it can receive up to 50% of the total project cost in national funding.

In response, Imsil County and the Office of Education have agreed to jointly participate in the school complex facility project, aiming to install a youth multi-cultural space on the site of Imsil Middle School to meet the diverse educational needs of local students. They also plan to utilize the underground space of the school playground to secure parking, thereby alleviating inconveniences for residents and improving the local living environment.

The youth complex facility will include future-oriented educational experience spaces such as AI, AR & VR experiences, and coding software labs to strengthen students' creativity and future competencies. It will also provide self-directed learning spaces to help students develop good study habits.

Facilities such as K-band rooms, K-dance rooms, student council rooms, and club rooms will also be provided for student self-governance activities, enabling youth to develop autonomy and a sense of community through various activities.

The county also plans to secure more than 100 public parking spaces by utilizing the elevation difference of the school playground to help resolve parking shortages in the old downtown area.

Currently, this area implements alternate-day parking due to a lack of public parking lots. However, on days with heavy foot traffic, illegal parking frequently occurs, leading to not only traffic congestion but also an increased risk of accidents. Therefore, securing underground parking spaces to alleviate parking inconveniences for local residents is an urgent matter.

Superintendent Yoo Hyoseon stated, "Through this public project, we will work with Imsil County to greatly improve the local educational environment. We will continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Education and related organizations to create the best educational environment and pursue ongoing educational innovation together with the local community."

Governor Shim Min said, "By resolving the parking shortages that have long troubled local residents, we will revitalize nearby commercial areas and ensure complete traffic safety in front of schools. We will continue to closely cooperate with the Office of Education to build educational, cultural, sports, and transportation infrastructure that satisfies students, parents, and local residents, and achieve sustainable regional development."
