The KOSPI index started higher on the 6th and is currently moving within a flat range.
As of 9:55 a.m. that day, the KOSPI was trading at 2568.60, up 10.47 points (0.41%) from the previous day. The index opened at 2573.55, up 15.42 points (0.60%). Currently, foreigners are selling stocks worth 21.5 billion KRW. Individuals and institutions bought stocks worth 10.4 billion KRW and 0.9 billion KRW, respectively.

Among the top market capitalization stocks, POSCO Holdings (4.52%), NAVER (3.86%), Shinhan Financial Group (3.25%), Kia (2.82%), KB Financial Group (2.35%), Hyundai Mobis (2.39%), Hyundai Motor (1.69%), and Kakao (1.97%) are rising. On the other hand, SK Innovation (-2.21%), Hanwha Ocean (-0.99%), and Samsung Biologics (-0.79%) are declining.
By sector, metals (2.08%), information technology (IT) services (2.04%), general services (1.39%), electricity & gas (1.16%), and transportation equipment (1.09%) sectors are rising. Conversely, entertainment & culture (-1.00%), insurance (-0.91%), and pharmaceuticals (-0.62%) sectors are declining.
On the 5th (local time), the three major U.S. stock indices in New York closed higher after three days. The blue-chip-focused Dow Jones Industrial Average (Dow) closed at 43,006.59, up 485.6 points (1.14%) from the previous trading day. The large-cap S&P 500 index rose 64.48 points (1.12%) to 5,842.63, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq index jumped 267.57 points (1.46%) to close at 18,552.73.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index recorded 738.99, down 7.96 points (1.07%) from the previous session. The index opened at 750.43, up 3.48 points (0.47%), but turned downward within about six minutes. Foreigners and institutions sold stocks worth 182.3 billion KRW and 58.4 billion KRW, respectively. Individuals bought stocks worth 249.4 billion KRW alone.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Classys (4.39%), Voronoi (2.84%), Samchundang Pharm (0.98%), and EcoPro BM (1.15%) are rising. Meanwhile, Rainbow Robotics (-5.71%), Alteogen (-5.31%), Rino Industrial (-4.76%), Enchem (-4.63%), Ligacym Bio (-3.37%), JYP Ent. (-3.21%), and Peptron (-3.08%) are declining.
