Samsung Ranks First Among Top 20 Group Companies

A survey revealed that the company most desired by university students preparing for employment is Samsung Electronics.
On the 6th, HR tech company Incruit announced the results of a survey titled 'The Group Companies University Students Most Want to Work For,' conducted from the 10th of last month to the 3rd of this month with 1,144 university students nationwide. Among the top 20 group companies, 16.8% of respondents chose Samsung. The most cited reason for wanting to work there was "satisfactory salary and compensation system," at 44.8%.
The second most preferred company was CJ (11.7%), with many respondents citing "excellent welfare benefits" (19.4%) as their reason for wanting to join. Hyundai Motor Company (10.9%) and SK (10.3%) ranked third and fourth, respectively. For both companies, the most common reason for wanting to work there was also "satisfactory salary and compensation system," similar to Samsung.
In fifth place, Kakao (9.4%) was chosen by 18.5% of respondents who cited its "leading corporate image in the same industry and local community." Following were LG (5.2%), POSCO (5.1%), NongHyup (4.9%), Shinsegae (4.8%), and Celltrion (3.9%) in order.
When asked about the most desired affiliate company within the selected group companies, Samsung Electronics accounted for a majority with 58.9% within Samsung. CJ Olive Young was the top choice at CJ with 41.8%, Hyundai Motor Company led Hyundai Motor Group with 78.4%, SK Hynix was preferred at SK with 62.7%, and Kakao itself was the most selected at Kakao with 41.7%.

Lee Myung-ji, team leader of the Brand Communication Team at Incruit, explained, "In the 2025 'Most Desired Group Companies to Work For' survey, the tendency to select 'satisfactory salary and compensation system' as the reason for wanting to work at a group company has increased." She added, "This trend continued in affiliate preferences, with companies known for ensuring solid compensation receiving high votes."
Meanwhile, Incruit selected group companies based on the top 20 publicly disclosed business groups designated by the Fair Trade Commission last year. The survey's confidence level is 95%, with a sampling error of ±2.77 percentage points.
