120 Frequent Two-Wheeler Traffic Violation Zones
Now Available on Baemin Connect App
Baedal Minjok is teaming up with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority to promote the ‘Public Reporting Zones’ aimed at fostering a culture of traffic safety for two-wheeled vehicles. The initiative involves sharing areas with frequent two-wheeler traffic violations, designated by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, with riders to proactively inform them of high-risk zones and lead efforts to prevent traffic accidents.
Woowa Brothers, responsible for Baemin’s logistics services, announced on the 6th that they will guide riders to conveniently check the Public Reporting Zones?locations nationwide with frequent two-wheeler traffic violation reports designated by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS)?through the Baemin Connect application.
The Public Reporting Zones were selected based on 120 locations frequently reported for two-wheeler traffic violations by the ‘TS Traffic Safety Public Reporting Team,’ which operates through public participation. Woowa Brothers received related information from TS and incorporated it into the Baemin Connect app. They also introduced how to use the list-saving feature of the Naver Maps app to enhance convenience, allowing riders to check the zones in real time.
The 120 Public Reporting Zones designated by TS consist of 90 locations with the highest number of two-wheeler traffic violation reports across 17 metropolitan municipalities and 30 locations with over 100 reported violations. Prioritizing rider safety, Woowa Brothers plans to reduce accident risks during two-wheeler operations and encourage compliance with traffic laws through the Public Reporting Zones guidance.
