"Time for Those in Their 50s to Get Closer to Books"... Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Senior Reading

From Book Packages to Humanities Lectures
First-Come, First-Served Registration Until the 7th

Buk-gu, Gwangju is launching the 'Senior Book Start' program for the first time to help adults become more familiar with books. This initiative aims to provide tailored support to promote a reading culture.

According to Buk-gu on the 5th, the 'Senior Book Start' program will be held at Unam Library under the theme 'A New Spring of Life Through Books,' targeting residents aged 50 and above. As part of this program, a 'book package' containing two books for adults will be distributed, and a 'book story program' will be operated. Registration for the book package will be open to the first 50 applicants starting at 10 a.m. on the 6th.


The 'book story program' consists of two courses: ▲The Human Theater in Picture Books and ▲A Box of Shining Memories with Warm Picture Books. Led by a professional instructor, the program will include reading discussions and humanities lectures over eight weeks. Registration for participation will be open to the first applicants starting at 10 a.m. on the 7th.
