Enhancing Practical Understanding of National Funding Projects
Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted a capacity-building training session for over 130 public officials in the county office's large conference room to secure national funding for 2026.
The training held on the 4th was organized to enhance practical understanding of national funding projects and to establish effective strategies for securing national funds.
Lee Seung-do, Secretary of the Gyeongnam Provincial Financial Cooperation Office, who was invited as the instructor, presented a comprehensive understanding of government budgets, the review process, and practical, strategic methods for securing national funds based on his years of experience handling budget review affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
He also focused on delivering essential skills for securing national funds, including step-by-step response strategies according to the government budget formulation process, effective preparation of project explanation materials, and advice on budget negotiations with central government ministries and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
County Governor Jo Geun-je stated, “Discovering projects that fit the region’s characteristics and needs and linking them to national funding is a key task to overcome the limitations of local finances and drive the development of our county,” and urged, “I ask all public officials to make every effort to secure national and provincial funds for next year.”
Meanwhile, the county has set a target of 300 billion KRW for securing national and provincial funds next year and established a strategic plan in January this year.
