Kim Kyunghoon, Kumho Tire Manager, Selected as Tax Cooperation Contributor... Awarded by Finance Minister

Managing Annual Customs Duties of 1.7 Billion KRW
and Value-Added Tax of 40.2 Billion KRW

Kim Kyunghoon, a manager at Kumho Tire, was selected as a Tax Administration Contributor and received a Minister’s Award.


According to Kumho Tire (CEO Jung Iltaek) on the 5th, Kim was selected as a Tax Administration Contributor for the 2025 Taxpayer’s Day, organized by the Korea Customs Service, and was awarded the Minister of Economy and Finance Award.

The award ceremony was held the previous afternoon at the Gwangju Regional Government Complex, at the Gwangju Main Customs Office of the Korea Customs Service.


Kim was highly recognized for faithfully performing export and import customs clearance duties, contributing to exports, and managing Kumho Tire’s annual customs duties of 1.7 billion KRW and value-added tax of 40.2 billion KRW to prevent any tax arrears. He was also acknowledged for contributing to maintaining a customs compliance score of 99 (compared to an industry average of 89).


In particular, since obtaining AEO certification in 2016, he has been responsible for maintaining AEO export and import operations at six business sites, including the Gwangju, Gokseong, and Pyeongtaek plants, the Yongin Central Research Institute, the Seoul office, and the Gwangyang Logistics Center. He is also known for his quiet acts of kindness, such as making monthly donations to the “Good Family” program to help neighbors in need.


Meanwhile, the Korea Customs Service, together with the National Tax Service, celebrates Taxpayer’s Day every March 3rd to inspire pride and a sense of accomplishment among taxpayers who faithfully pay taxes and contribute to the establishment of an advanced tax culture, awarding exemplary taxpayers and tax administration contributors.


Tax Administration Contributors are selected for actively cooperating in tax administration promotion, raising public tax awareness, and improving and developing national tax administration, thereby contributing to the realization of advanced tax administration.
