During the event period, the first 1,000 foreign customers who meet all three conditions?opening a new ‘BNK Welcome Global Account,’ registering for mobile banking, and issuing a new check card?will receive a coffee coupon.

The ‘BNK Welcome Global Account’ is a deposit account exclusively for foreign residents in Korea that offers exemption from various financial fees on transactions made through the account, provided there is a payroll transfer record.

Detailed information about the product and event can be found through Busan Bank’s mobile banking service.

In addition, Busan Bank is implementing various services to support convenient financial life for foreign customers as the number of foreign residents in Korea increases.

Starting in March, the Gimhae Airport branch and currency exchange office will provide departure maturity insurance payment services for foreign workers. This enables foreign workers in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions to receive their insurance payments at Gimhae Airport, eliminating the inconvenience of having to use Incheon Airport to collect insurance funds.

The ‘Foreign Worker Departure Maturity Insurance’ is an insurance created to guarantee severance pay for foreign workers. According to the ‘Act on Employment, etc. of Foreign Workers,’ employers who hire foreign workers are required to subscribe to this insurance. The departure maturity insurance (severance pay) can be collected directly at the airport or transferred to the foreign worker’s overseas account within 14 days after departure.

Additionally, for foreign customers visiting branches, Busan Bank operates the ‘BNK Foreign Student Supporters’ at branches near universities in the Busan area. The supporters, who are actual foreign students in Busan, assist foreign customers who have difficulty communicating in Korean by providing banking guidance in English and their native languages.

At the start of the new semester, mobile branches visit major universities in Busan to support banking services such as account opening and check card issuance for new foreign students. To help foreign students settle smoothly, financial education is also provided during university orientations, including guidance on preventing financial fraud and how to use mobile banking.

Shin Sik, Head of the Personal Customer Group at Busan Bank, said, “We prepared the ‘BNK Welcome Global Event’ to offer benefits to foreign customers starting their first transactions with Busan Bank,” adding, “We will continue to provide various products and services for foreign customers to enhance their convenience.”
