The Gwangju Office of Education announced on the 5th that it will hold the "7th Educational Public Data Utilization and Analysis Competition" to raise interest in educational public data and promote its use.

This competition is co-hosted by the Ministry of Education and city and provincial offices of education, and is divided into a student division (data analysis) and a general division (data analysis, product/service).


Educational public data is provided by the Ministry of Education, city and provincial offices of education, and related institutions, and is accessible to anyone through the Public Data Portal, Education Statistics Service, and NICE Education Information Open Portal.


Applications can be submitted on the competition website from April 1 to 30. After a preliminary and first document screening, followed by a second presentation screening, a total of 64 teams will be selected as winners, including 52 teams in the student division and 12 teams in the general division. The total prize money is 114 million KRW. The awards ceremony will be held on July 4.


Superintendent Lee Jungseon said, "We hope that many students and citizens will participate in this competition, which has been organized to strengthen data utilization capabilities."
