Jangseong County in Jeonnam will construct a 'Youth Culture Center' in Samgye-myeon.
According to Jangseong County on the 5th, a review committee was recently held in the county office situation room, attended by 10 people including youth, experts in education and architecture, local resident representatives, and members of the Jangseong County Council, to review the basic plan, design feasibility, and project progress.
The 'Youth Culture Center' will serve as a cultural and leisure space for youths in the western region of Jangseong, specifically Donghwa-myeon, Samseo-myeon, and Samgye-myeon. It will be built on a 3,717㎡ site near Samgye High School, with a two-story building and a total floor area of 1,350㎡. The interior will feature a singing practice room, movie screening room, community hall, after-school classroom, and club rooms.
The total project cost is 7.6 billion KRW, of which 6.1 billion KRW will be funded by the province, minimizing the county's financial burden. The target completion date is 2026.
A county official stated, "We will do our best to reflect the discussions from the review committee in the design and construction process to provide the necessary cultural facilities for youths in the western region."
