District Holds "Tea Talk with the District Mayor" on the 24th and 25th of Last Month
Explains Key District Projects and Communicates with Residents
Introduces New Initiatives for 2024, Including Family Camping Site
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held a "Tea Talk with the District Mayor" in 14 neighborhoods on the 24th and 25th of last month.
This tea talk was organized for the district mayor to personally explain the key projects being promoted by the district and the progress of major projects in each neighborhood to the residents.
The tea talk, attended by neighborhood resident representatives and representatives of cultural lecture attendees, was conducted in a casual atmosphere. It took the form of a Q&A (dialogue) where the district mayor explained and then received questions from the residents.
Through the tea talk, the district mayor emphasized projects such as the 'Dobong-gu Family Camping Site Operation,' which is being implemented for the first time this year, and 'Free Shingles Vaccination for Seniors Aged 65 and Over,' urging residents not to miss out on benefits due to lack of awareness.
District Mayor Oh Eon-seok said, "All these projects were prepared by listening to the opinions of the residents. We will continue to incorporate the voices of the residents into district administration and carry out practical and tangible governance."
So far, the district has strived to communicate with residents on-site to realize resident-centered administration. In July 2022, dialogues with residents were held, and in August 2023 and June 2024, dialogues with community leaders were conducted. From September to November 2024, the 'Communication UP Meeting with Residents' was held.
They also met residents by topic. From September 2022 to May 2023, they cleaned neighborhoods in 14 districts while talking with residents. From November to December 2023, they communicated with residents by conducting joint night patrols in areas of security concern.
