8-ton Truck Falls into Mudflat in Yeonggwang... Driver in His 40s Dies

An 8-ton truck carrying an excavator fell into a mudflat while driving in Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, resulting in the death of the driver in his 40s.

According to the Yeonggwang Police Station on the 3rd, at around 7:26 a.m. the previous day in Baeksu-eup, Yeonggwang-gun, a truck went down a steep road and fell 4 to 5 meters into a mudflat. The driver, identified as A (49), was transported to a hospital but ultimately died.

The police believe the accident occurred while descending the steep road and are investigating the exact circumstances.
