Experience Seamless Picture Quality Across Smartphones, Laptops, and TVs
Samsung Display will participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world's largest information and communication technology exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 3rd to the 6th, showcasing its latest display technologies.
At this exhibition, Samsung Display will present organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology that reproduces the same colors across various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
In the Color Integration Studio, demonstrations will be conducted where products of various screen sizes accurately display the Pantone color 'Viva Magenta.' Through comparisons with liquid crystal display (LCD) products using traditional backlights, the superior color expression and screen quality of OLED will be emphasized.
Samsung Display will also unveil its premium embedded film (OCF) technology, which incorporates a polarizer into the pixels to increase brightness while reducing power consumption and thickness. The company explained that this technology enables clear screens even under strong sunlight in high-temperature environments, making it especially effective in desert-like conditions.
Additionally, bezel-less technology minimizing the screen border will be introduced. A large OLED tile made by connecting ten 6.8-inch OLED panels with almost no bezel will demonstrate a seamless display. This technology allows for a wider display without increasing the smartphone screen size.
Furthermore, Samsung Display revealed its intention to target the high-performance gaming market by showcasing QD-OLED monitors that combine quantum dot (QD) technology for enhanced color reproduction and brightness, OLED laptops, and gaming products called Flex Gaming featuring a 7.2-inch foldable display.
