Yeongju City Holds Population Policy Idea Contest

Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will hold the "Yeongju City Population Policy Idea Contest" for 30 days from March 3 to April 3.

This contest was prepared to spread awareness of the regional population decline issue and to discover creative ideas that contribute to revitalizing Yeongju's population.

The contest fields include all areas related to population policy, such as ▲ responding to low birth rates and an aging society ▲ youth settlement ▲ expanding population inflow ▲ other measures to enhance population vitality.

Anyone interested in population policy can participate in the contest. Those who wish to participate can download the application form from the Yeongju City website (Notice/Announcement section) and submit it via email or mail (Yeongju City Local Government Policy Office).

Submitted ideas will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, effectiveness and efficiency, sustainability, and concreteness. Outstanding proposals will be awarded one grand prize (700,000 KRW), one excellence prize (500,000 KRW), and two encouragement prizes (200,000 KRW each).

The results of the evaluation will be announced on the city hall website in May, and winners will be notified individually. Adopted ideas may be reviewed by relevant departments and utilized in Yeongju City's population policy implementation.

Mayor Park Nam-seo of Yeongju City said, "I hope many fresh and creative ideas will be submitted through this contest," and added, "I hope that customized population policies essential to our city will be discovered, providing an opportunity for Yeongju to take the lead in overcoming population decline."
