The 1st Civil-Military Space Development Project Director-General Level Council Held
The Korea Aerospace Administration and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration agreed to share plans for space launch vehicles and launch infrastructure, and to continue cooperating to strengthen the nation's space launch capabilities.
On the 28th, the two agencies held the "1st Civil-Military Space Development Project Director-General Level Council" at the Daejeon Civil-Military Cooperation Promotion Agency, discussing concrete cooperation measures for space development projects and advancing practical collaboration.
The two agencies shared plans for the construction of a defense space launch site, promoted as an infrastructure project by the Agency for Defense Development, and discussed directions for expanding national launch infrastructure through civil-military cooperation.
They also explored technological cooperation methods such as sharing technology development achievements and joint development related to launch vehicle development being promoted by the Korea Aerospace Administration, and exchanged opinions on personnel exchange plans between agencies to smoothly manage multi-agency projects jointly promoted by both agencies, including the microsatellite system project.
The Korea Aerospace Administration and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration plan to enhance the efficiency of space development projects and continue practical cooperation to strengthen national space capabilities through regular councils.
