NAVER announced on the 28th that it will newly launch 'Naver Delivery' in March, replacing the existing 'Naver Arrival Guarantee.' With the renewal, Naver Delivery will be subdivided into Today Delivery, Tomorrow Delivery, Sunday Delivery, and Desired Date Delivery, and free returns and exchanges will be expanded for membership subscribers.
Today Delivery is a service that guarantees delivery on the same day if the buyer orders a product between 0:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Tomorrow Delivery allows customers to receive products ordered between 11:00 AM and midnight (12:00 AM) the next day. However, depending on some sellers, the cutoff time for Tomorrow Delivery may vary between 6:00 PM and midnight.
If an order is placed between 11:00 AM and midnight on Saturday, Sunday Delivery guarantees arrival on Sunday. Desired Date Delivery, where buyers can specify their preferred delivery date, will also be added as a delivery option.
NAVER explained that by subdividing the Naver Delivery categories, consumers can intuitively understand when the products they purchased will arrive. The intention is to ensure that users receive their deliveries on the indicated dates without having to check the delivery status after purchasing products on Naver.
In the AI-based shopping app 'Naver Plus Store,' launching next month, it will also be possible to search according to Naver Delivery categories. Within Naver Plus Store, when users click the 'Naver Delivery' filter, products will be sorted in order of earliest delivery dates such as Today Delivery and Tomorrow Delivery. Through Naver Delivery, information on preferred delivery methods by user and product will be accumulated and analyzed to advance the AI-based logistics data platform.
The Naver Arrival Guarantee service, introduced at the end of 2022, has seen the number of handled products increase by more than 700% in two years. In particular, brand stores offering the arrival guarantee service have seen sales increase by 167% over two years. NAVER explained that this demonstrates that as users’ delivery satisfaction rises, purchase rates also increase.
NAVER introduced the Naver Delivery service to accelerate the virtuous cycle where improved delivery satisfaction leads to increased purchase rates. NAVER expects that with the introduction of Naver Delivery, the average delivery time can be shortened by up to about 2 hours compared to last year.
Additionally, NAVER plans to improve the accuracy of estimated delivery dates, which currently stands at about 97%. If a buyer does not receive the product on the promised date under Today Delivery, Tomorrow Delivery, Sunday Delivery, or Desired Date Delivery, NAVER will compensate with 1,000 NAVER Pay points.
Today Delivery and Sunday Delivery are currently only available in Seoul and the metropolitan area. NAVER plans to gradually expand the service areas within this year.
Along with this, NAVER plans to introduce Dawn Delivery, which allows orders placed in the evening to be received early the next morning, and Now Delivery, which delivers within about an hour of ordering, within this year.
Free shipping and free returns and exchanges will also be expanded. Anyone who is a member of NAVER’s paid membership, 'Naver Plus Membership,' can receive free shipping on purchases over 10,000 KRW. Free returns and exchanges will also be provided. However, free returns and exchanges apply only once per order and are excluded for some deliveries such as N Desired Date Delivery or cash on delivery.
Return shipping fees and disposal costs related to returns and exchanges will be directly supported by NAVER to sellers. This measure is to encourage sellers to participate in the free returns and exchanges policy without bearing the cost burden.

She added, "Sellers will also be able to achieve greater business growth thanks to NAVER’s strengthened logistics competitiveness."
