'Brighton Yeouido' Breakfast and Lunch Service
Achieves 72% Average Monthly Usage Rate
On-site Cooking and Face-to-Face Serving by Chefs
The usage rate of the breakfast and lunch service at 'Brighton Yeouido,' a luxury residential complex that first introduced this service in Yeouido, reached 72% within one year of its launch. On average, 7 out of 10 residents use the service, indicating that it has been stably established.
According to Shinyoung, the developer of Brighton Yeouido, the breakfast and lunch service launched in February last year showed an average monthly usage rate of 72% until December. In particular, the usage rate in December last year was 81%, showing a continuous increase for three months following October (63%) and November (77%). If this trend continues, the number of users is expected to grow further.
The breakfast and lunch service at 'Brighton Yeouido' is provided to residents through collaboration with Shinsegae Food, a leading domestic B&F company, in a hotel-style lounge located on the 3rd floor above ground of Building 101. It offers two types of daily changing meal menus including Korean dishes, ? la carte meals, and brunch (American breakfast), using fresh ingredients and a systematic, balanced diet planned by professional nutritionists.
The service is available six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday, excluding Mondays, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and residents can conveniently pay and use the service with their resident cards. Last year, the price was 9,000 KRW each for breakfast and lunch, but from this year, reflecting inflation and other factors, the price was raised to 11,000 KRW each. Special dishes such as mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) are offered on weekends for 15,000 KRW.
A Shinyoung official stated, "Since the service began, many positive reviews about the menu and quality have been posted mainly on online communities, showing a high level of resident satisfaction with the overall premium service." They added, "Unlike typical meal services, this hotel-style service is operated with chefs cooking on-site and serving meals face-to-face, which is a key factor for its success as a high-quality dining experience."
The so-called 'apartments that provide meals' are continuously increasing. From Trimage in Seongsu-dong to apartments in Gangnam, Gangbuk, new towns in the metropolitan area, and regional apartments, meal services have now become a major feature of 4th generation apartments. As breakfast services spread, complexes without cooking facilities are also joining the 'apartments that provide meals' trend by introducing catering and delivery services.
Meanwhile, Brighton Yeouido is a mixed-use complex consisting of two apartment buildings, one officetel building, and one office building. The officetel was occupied in August 2023, and the apartments in October of the same year. The apartments consist of 454 units ranging from 84 to 132 square meters, spanning from basement level 6 to 49 floors above ground. The units are composed of ▲84㎡ 91 units ▲101㎡ 91 units ▲113㎡ 181 units ▲132㎡ 91 units. The 84㎡ (34 pyeong) units were sold for 3.8 billion KRW in July last year, exceeding 100 million KRW per pyeong.
