Wando Travelers to Receive 200,000 Won 'Chiyu Pay'... Support Starts from Next Month 1st

Available for Use at Accommodations, Restaurants, Cafes, and Specialty Product Stores

Wando County in Jeonnam announced on the 27th that it will launch the 'Wando Healing Pay' program starting from July 1, in celebration of the '2025 Visit Wando Year'.

The 'Wando Healing Pay' program will run until December 7. Tourists visiting Wando County’s attractions in groups of two or more can receive incentives by posting three verification photos, hashtags, and a post of at least 50 characters on their personal social media accounts.

To receive support, participants must first submit a travel plan in advance through the 'Wando Healing Festa' website. Support varies depending on the number of places visited (accommodations, restaurants, cafes, specialty product stores, etc.) and the total amount on receipts. If the total receipt amount is over 100,000 KRW (at least one place), 50,000 KRW is provided; over 200,000 KRW (at least two places), 100,000 KRW; over 300,000 KRW (at least three places), 150,000 KRW; and over 400,000 KRW (at least four places), up to 200,000 KRW is provided as either coupons or Wando Clean Market points.

Applications for 'Wando Healing Pay' can be made via the 'Wando Healing Festa' website or at on-site offices operated around the Wando Seaweed Center. Coupons must be collected in person at the on-site office. Coupons can be used at accommodations, restaurants, cafes, and specialty product stores within Wando County, while Wando Clean Market points can be used to purchase specialty products at the county’s official online shopping mall, 'Wando Clean Market'.

The county is also promoting an incentive support program to attract group tourists. For groups of 10 or more domestic or international tourists, 12,000 KRW per person is provided for day trips to the mainland area, and 15,000 KRW for island areas. For one-night stays, 15,000 KRW for the mainland area and 18,000 KRW for islands is provided; for stays of two nights or more, 18,000 KRW for the mainland and 21,000 KRW for islands is provided.

Additional benefits are available if the group visits the Wando Marine Healing Center. For day trips, 25,000 KRW per person is provided for the mainland area and 28,000 KRW for islands. For one-night stays, 30,000 KRW for the mainland and 33,000 KRW for islands is provided; for stays of two nights or more, 35,000 KRW for the mainland and 38,000 KRW for islands is provided.

Oh Hyuncheol, head of the Tourism Division, stated, "We are offering special benefits in celebration of the Visit Wando Year. We hope visitors enjoy their trip to Wando and take advantage of these benefits," adding, "We will continue to implement various policies to vitalize tourism in the future."
