Proposed Name: Raemian Heriven Banpo
170m-High Sky Bridge with Han River View Community
Three-Story, 20m-High Atrium to House Multi-Cultural Facilities
Samsung C&T has announced plans to transform the Sinbanpo 4th reconstruction into an iconic complex akin to a 7-star hotel with views of the Han River. They proposed a 100m-long, 170m-high sky bridge and the first three-story atrium in Banpo. The complex name has been finalized as ‘Raemian Heriven Banpo’.
Samsung C&T’s Construction Division unveiled the design plan on the 28th ahead of securing the Sinbanpo 4th reconstruction project. The Sinbanpo 4th Reconstruction Association will hold a general meeting on the 29th of next month to approve a direct contract with Samsung C&T, finalizing the main contractor.
Samsung C&T stated it will create another iconic complex representing Banpo. Banpo already hosts Raemian towns such as Raemian Prestige, One Bailey, and One Pentas. Next year, Raemian Trinity will be completed.
The proposed complex name for Sinbanpo 4th is ‘Raemian Heriven Banpo,’ combining Heritage, River, and Seven. It signifies “the pinnacle enjoying a 7-star lifestyle in seven residential buildings embodying the Han River premium.”
The design will be a collaboration with world-renowned masters including the American architectural design group SMDP, who worked on Raemian One Bailey, as well as designers Ron Arad and Nicola Galizia.
The complex will feature a 170m-high, 100m-long sky bridge and a 230m-long grand gate at the entrance inspired by the curve of the Han River. The exterior will showcase a ‘modern classic’ design using premium finishing materials such as ceramic tiles and aluminum panels.
The sky community will include a sky gym, sky golf, and a guest house with an outdoor pool.
The landscaping area will span approximately 39,600 square meters (about six times the size of Seoul City Hall’s lawn plaza). It is designed to harmonize with the Han River. A large lake covering about 3,300 square meters will be created in the central plaza of the complex. Along with a unique atrium (an open-ceiling art space), it will present an artistic landscape.
Underneath the atrium, Banpo’s first three-story, 20m-high large open space will house a complex cultural facility including an aqua park, golf club, and lounge restaurant, offering spaces for relaxation, exercise, and hobbies.
Each unit will feature 2- to 3-sided open living rooms, 2.7m-high ceilings, and premium imported finishing materials such as German panoramic windows. Like a 7-star hotel, each of the seven buildings will have hotel-style entrances, duplex lobbies, private communities, and a total of 12 exclusive amenities.
Kim Myung-seok, Vice President and Head of Samsung C&T’s Housing Business Division, said, “Banpo is a region leading residential culture in Korea, and Raemian will mobilize all its capabilities to make Sinbanpo 4th, at the heart of Banpo, shine even brighter.”
