Gwangju City announced on the 27th that it will hold a spring promotion in March, offering a maximum discount coupon of 5,000 won through the Gwangju Public Delivery App, which previously provided a 3,000 won discount coupon every Saturday and Sunday.


This event is being carried out as a practical strategy for the livelihood economy policy under the "2025 Gwangju Economy Together Step-by-Step" (Good Consumption, Good Finance, Good Jobs), which is a three-pronged policy for economic recovery.


The city operates the public delivery apps "Wemakeprice O" and "Ddanggyoyo." By issuing weekend discount coupons to boost consumption, integrating payment systems for Sangsaeng Card and Onnuri Gift Certificates, and running various discount events including in-app promotions by the delivery app operators, the city is contributing to revitalizing the local economy.


To mark the new school term, a 3,000 won discount coupon will be provided on weekdays from March 3 to 6. The 3,000 won weekend discount coupon, available every Saturday and Sunday, will also continue. In celebration of the KIA Tigers' home opening games on March 22 and 23, a discount coupon of up to 4,000 won will be offered to wish for the Tigers' victory. In particular, a 5,000 won appreciation coupon will be given to customers who used the Gwangju Public Delivery App more than 50 times per operator last year.


The March special discount promotion is open to all Gwangju citizens who use the Gwangju Public Delivery App. Discount coupons can be downloaded through the public delivery app operators "Wemakeprice O" and "Ddanggyoyo."


Meanwhile, the city has been striving to warm up the local economy, which has been suffering from severe economic downturn and political instability, by providing a 4,000 won discount coupon every day during the Lunar New Year holiday last month.


As of December last year, the number of Gwangju Public Delivery App partner stores reached about 14,500, a 12-fold increase compared to the early days of the service. During the same period, the cumulative number of orders reached 1.69 million, with cumulative sales amounting to 41.8 billion won.
