Gwangju Dong-gu (District Mayor Lim Taek) announced on the 27th that the opening ceremony for the '2025 Car-Free Street' will be held in front of Jeonil Building 245 on the 8th of next month.
The opening ceremony was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. on the 2nd of next month, but was postponed due to rain.
'Car-Free Street' was planned to return Geumnam-ro, a street rich in Dong-gu's history, to citizens as a place of relaxation and to create a people-centered urban space. It will be held on the first Sunday of every month until December.
