Childcare Policy Committee Convened
9.7 Billion KRW Invested to Enhance Childcare Services
Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 27th that it held the 1st Childcare Policy Committee meeting of 2025 on the 25th at the Tourism and Welfare Bureau meeting room of the county office, where it reviewed and approved this year’s childcare project implementation plan.
On the 25th, in the conference room of the County Office Tourism and Welfare Bureau, Lee Jeong-a, Vice Governor of Uiseong-gun and Chairperson of the Childcare Policy Committee (center), is discussing childcare policies with childcare experts, daycare center directors and childcare teacher representatives, guardian representatives, and 13 public interest representatives.
The Childcare Policy Committee is composed of 13 members, including Vice County Governor Lee Jeong-ah as the chairperson, childcare experts, directors of daycare centers, representatives of childcare teachers, guardians, and public interest representatives.
At the meeting, seven major agenda items were discussed, including ▲2025 childcare project implementation plan ▲daycare center supply and demand plan ▲minimum necessary regional wage support for daycare centers ▲support for rural childcare support centers ▲changes in daycare center capacity ▲mixed-age class formation in daycare centers ▲recognition of daycare center directors concurrently serving as childcare teachers.
The county plans to invest a total of 9.7 billion KRW in childcare projects this year to reduce parents’ childcare burdens through parental allowances, child-rearing subsidies, and childcare fee support, and to promote daycare center operation support and improvement of staff treatment. Through this, it aims to enhance the quality of childcare services.
Kim Ju-su, Uiseong County Governor, emphasized, "A child’s growth determines the future of the region," adding, "We will spare no effort to provide and support high-quality childcare services so that children can grow up healthy."
