On this day, the KOSPI opened at 2637.63, down 0.13% from the previous trading day, and as of 9:04 AM, it is recording 2635.86 (-0.20%). Foreigners and institutions sold 104.8 billion KRW and 28.4 billion KRW respectively, while individuals are net buyers with 122.1 billion KRW.


By sector, telecommunications (-1.29%), food & beverages and tobacco (-1.01%), finance (-0.89%), electricity & gas (-0.78%), pharmaceuticals (-0.58%), and metals (-0.45%) are declining, while transportation & warehousing (0.38%), machinery, equipment, electrical & electronics (0.25%), and distribution (0.20%) are showing a downward trend.


Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are showing slight gains of 0.35% and 0.25% respectively. Despite NVIDIA’s strong Q4 earnings announcement last year, the rise is limited. On the other hand, LG Energy Solution (-0.67%), Hyundai Motor (-2.20%), Celltrion (-1.11%), Kia (-0.21%), and NAVER (-1.73%) are declining.


The KOSDAQ opened at 774.13, up 0.35% from the previous session, and is currently at 775.70 (0.56%). Individuals bought 20.7 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions sold 17.0 billion KRW and 2.7 billion KRW respectively.


Most sectors are on the rise. Except for finance (-0.27%) and paper & wood (-0.39%), machinery & equipment (1.36%), distribution (1.11%), pharmaceuticals (0.98%), manufacturing (0.73%), and construction (0.68%) are increasing.


Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, except for Rigacembio (-0.26%), Alteogen (0.38%), HLB (2.60%), EcoPro (1.34%), Rainbow Robotics (1.68%), and Samchundang Pharmaceutical (1.31%) are on the rise.
