Kia announced on the 27th that Autoland Gwangju was selected as an outstanding company in the 2024 Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award.
The award ceremony was held on the 26th at the Bankers Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. Key figures attending the event included Kia CEO Choi Jun-young, Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Chairman Kim Hyun-joong.

The Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project is one of the government’s 110 national tasks and part of the large and small business win-win cooperation initiatives. It is a project that supports the establishment and expansion of a joint win-win safety and health management system between large corporations and their small and medium-sized partner companies.
Kia Autoland Gwangju was recognized for its contributions to preventing workplace accidents and establishing a safety and health management system at partner companies by conducting activities such as ▲ consulting on safety and health tasks ▲ supporting safety and health supplies including forklift safety devices ▲ and safety and health seminars for 29 partner companies.
The safety and health task consulting is a customized advisory service that matches professional consulting agencies with partner companies on a one-to-one basis. It was conducted on topics such as building a self-regulatory prevention system centered on risk assessment, the three major accident types, and eight major risk factors.
Kia Autoland Gwangju supported partner companies by providing smart safety devices for forklifts, which are widely used on-site, through its safety and health supplies support activities.
The safety and health seminars invited safety and health experts to deliver lectures and discussions on practical issues faced by partner companies, including domestic safety trends, the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, and risk assessment systems.
CEO Choi stated, "The win-win relationship between Kia Autoland Gwangju and its partner companies is an essential factor contributing to safe production and benefiting the local community. We will continue to devote ongoing attention and efforts toward mutual growth with our partner companies."
