41-Story Mixed-Use Residential and Commercial Complex to Be Developed Near Seobinggo Station

Development of Office, Neighborhood Living Facilities, and 123 Apartment Units
Daycare Center and Rental Housing Also to Be Provided

A mixed-use complex with 41 above-ground floors, including office facilities, neighborhood living facilities, and apartments, will be developed near Seobinggo Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line.

On the 27th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the 3rd Urban and Architectural Joint Committee approved a revised plan for the Seobinggo Apartment District Unit Plan related to the Seobinggo Station area revitalization project.

The project site is located at 69-167 Yongsan-dong 6-ga, Yongsan-gu, adjacent to Shindonga Apartments. It is situated within the Seobinggo Apartment District Unit Plan area and was previously designated as a central facility site within the apartment district. Considering the characteristics of the area, the city plans to introduce various functions such as office and neighborhood living facilities and regional necessary facilities to revitalize the station area and enhance the characteristics of the Han River riverside.

Through the station area revitalization project, office facilities, neighborhood living facilities, and 123 apartment units will be constructed in a building ranging from six basement floors to 41 above-ground floors. The city plans to link the project with nearby parks and development plans to invigorate the area.

Additionally, 18 rental housing units with Han River views and a daycare center, serving as local convenience facilities, will be supplied. Considering the Han River scenery, the first residential building will be arranged as a low- to mid-rise structure, and a Han River viewing space accessible to everyone will be installed on the third floor above ground.

When the Seobinggo Apartment District Unit Plan was established last year, the unexecuted roads that were re-designated have now been donated, enabling improvements to the road structure along the Gangbyeonbuk-ro in connection with the nearby Shindonga Apartment reconstruction project (rapid integrated planning).

A Seoul city official said, "We expect that this Seobinggo Station area revitalization project will breathe new life into the living area around the Han River and Seobinggo Station."
