Jeonnam Office of Education Selects 35 'ESG Practice' Projects

Three Main Areas: Environment, Society, and Governance

Jeonnam Office of Education held a training session for those in charge of the 'ESG Practice' project on the 26th in the main conference room of the headquarters.


This training focused on improving understanding of the ESG practice project by providing guidance on the direction of ESG operations, how to submit project indicators, and sharing opinions from relevant departments. The Office of Education selected 35 practice projects in the three main areas of Environment (E), Society (S), and Governance (G) to realize sustainable ESG in Jeonnam education.

Jeonnam Office of Education Selects 35 'ESG Practice' Projects On the 26th, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education held a task force meeting in the main office's conference room and selected 35 projects across three major areas of Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) to realize ESG. In particular, to systematically select and manage ESG practice projects, a 'Practice Project Management TF' was formed and operated. This TF was responsible for tasks such as selecting and discovering ESG practice projects, developing project indicators, and building a system for systematic management.


As a result, a total of 35 practice projects were selected: 8 in the Environment (E) sector, 10 in the Society (S) sector, and 17 in the Governance (G) sector. The practice projects are designed to incorporate ESG elements?environmental protection, social responsibility, transparent management, and a sound organizational culture?into the management and operation of Jeonnam Office of Education for sustainable education.


Jung Byungguk, Director of Educational Autonomy, stated, "The selection of these practice projects comes at an important time for internalizing and spreading awareness of ESG values," adding, "Active cooperation and effort will create sustainable future education."
