Lee Jeongbok, CEO of Korea Western Power, has embarked on a communication initiative where he immediately asks and answers questions with employees on site.

Korea Western Power announced on the 26th that, until the 5th of next month, it will hold "CEO Town Hall Meetings for On-site Communication and Empathy" at 10 business sites nationwide, including the headquarters, Taean, and Gumi, targeting employees at the manager level and below.

The CEO Town Hall Meetings were organized for CEO Lee Jeongbok to directly share management issues with employees, strengthen the implementation of transparent and ethical management, and build trust among team members.

Through a presentation, CEO Lee diagnosed the company's current status and announced strategies to enhance future competitiveness. Amid the global trend of phasing out thermal power generation, he presented solutions to turn crises into opportunities, including seeking survival strategies unique to Korea Western Power, expanding eco-friendly energy sources, and securing new growth engines.

As his first step, CEO Lee visited the Taean Power Headquarters to explain the company's short- and mid-to-long-term management strategies. Domestically, he presented a vision to expand renewable energy centered on offshore wind power, while overseas, he plans to focus on solar and gas combined-cycle power generation in the Middle East as a strategic base, ultimately aiming for green hydrogen and ammonia production and power generation.

Lee Jeongbok emphasized, "I will approach management activities with the mindset of planting the seeds of success for the future of Korea Western Power employees over the next ten years."

During the Q&A session, held under the subtitle "Tomorrow's Leaders Ask, Today's Leaders Answer," the immediate question-and-answer communication between the CEO and front-line employees eliminated barriers and drew significant interest from the staff.

The Q&A, where employees asked questions on site and CEO Lee Jeongbok responded immediately, was conducted in a consistently warm and friendly atmosphere.

An employee who participated in the communication event said, "Through the time when the CEO explained management directions and current issues, I could strongly sense his willingness to communicate directly with employees on the ground. It was a meaningful time, with deeper and more honest conversations than expected among many employees."

Lee Jeongbok, CEO of Korea Western Power, stated, "This event was an implementation of my unique management philosophy of 'Myeonjeuktong' (face-to-face leads to communication). When I sincerely communicate with employees face-to-face, the way to overcome difficulties becomes clear. I will continue to communicate with employees based on transparent and honest management principles."
