The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 26th that it provided mobile temporary housing called 'Hope House' to disaster victims in Heuksan-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, who lost their homes due to heavy rains last July. This is the first time Hope Bridge has directly supported disaster victims in island areas using a barge to deliver the 'Hope House.'
'Hope House' is a mobile temporary housing facility produced with the sponsorship of the General Insurance Social Contribution Council. It is a 27㎡ (8-pyeong) steel frame structure consisting of a room with storage space, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It is also designed with excellent insulation performance to ensure comfortable living regardless of the season.
Mr. Dong-min Lee (26), who received the Hope House support, said, "I was at a loss about where to stay after suddenly losing my home due to the heavy rain, but I felt relieved to have a place to live. I am truly grateful to everyone who helped."
Park Woo-ryang, the governor of Sinan-gun, said, "We thank Hope Bridge and the General Insurance Social Contribution Council for providing warm homes to residents who lost their residences due to the disaster. The county will also do its best to help the affected residents return to their daily lives quickly."
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "One of the urgent issues after a disaster is housing. It is meaningful to provide some stability to the affected residents. We will continue to strive for the rapid recovery of neighbors affected by disasters."
