On the 25th (local time), the American sports media ESPN introduced, "Anthony Kim recently posted on his social media to commemorate his 2nd anniversary of sobriety." Anthony Kim reflected on his past, saying, "For nearly 20 years, I thought about ending my own life almost every day," and "Even when I was performing well on the PGA Tour, I depended on alcohol and drugs to the point that I lost sight of who I really was." He even confessed, "It was really tough to have to stop by the restroom every few holes during tournaments for alcohol or drugs."

Anthony Kim expressed gratitude to his wife and daughter, who greatly helped him start a new life. He vowed, "My journey is not over yet," and "Improving by 1% every day is how I will live my life going forward." He also explained his current physical condition, saying, "Earlier this month, during the LIV Golf Saudi Arabia tournament, I felt discomfort in my leg," and "I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg."

Anthony Kim was born in 1985. Between 2008 and 2010, he won three times on the PGA Tour and was recognized as a 'next-generation star.' He enjoyed popularity to the extent that a rivalry with 'Golf Emperor' Tiger Woods (USA) was anticipated, but he stopped appearing in official tournaments after 2012. After more than 10 years of inactivity, he returned to the field last year through LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital.

Anthony Kim is not yet back to his normal form. Since his LIV Golf debut, his highest ranking has been only 36th. He has not disclosed whether he will participate in the tournaments held in Hong Kong and Singapore in March.
