Diageo Korea's Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker announced on the 26th the launch of a new product, 'Johnnie Walker Black Ruby,' featuring vibrant fruit aromas and a smooth flavor.

Johnnie Walker Black Ruby is a reinterpretation of Johnnie Walker's flagship product, 'Johnnie Walker Black,' created by Master Blender Emma Walker. It blends single malt whisky 'Roseisle,' which gained tremendous popularity as a special release in 2024 and 2025, with whiskies aged in red wine casks and PX Oloroso casks to achieve a deep and rich fruit aroma. Additionally, whisky aged in bourbon casks is added to impart subtle flavors of sweet caramel and vanilla.

Johnnie Walker Black Ruby offers a deep and rich fruit aroma reminiscent of figs, plums, and maraschino cherries, with sweetness spreading fully in the mouth, delivering an intense aroma. The finish leaves a lasting impression with subtle spices and a smoky aftertaste. With its rich fruit aroma and bold depth, it is ideal not only for enjoying neat but also in various cocktails and highballs. Along with the launch, Johnnie Walker plans to introduce unique signature cocktail recipes exclusive to Black Ruby, such as 'Johnnie Walker Black Ruby Sweet and Sour,' 'Black Ruby Negroni,' and 'Black Ruby Highball.'

Johnnie Walker intends to participate in various cultural activities such as music and exhibitions to build a unique whisky culture exclusive to Johnnie Walker Black Ruby. Yumi Lee, Marketing Manager at Diageo Korea, stated, "Johnnie Walker Black Ruby is a new product born from endless challenges and innovation," adding, "We ask for much interest in Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, which will offer special experiences across various cultural fields."
