Establishing Customized College Guidance... Support for Counseling and Interviews
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will hold an inauguration ceremony for the ‘One High School, One College Admission Specialist Director’ and the ‘Senior Year College Admission Head’ at the Gwangju Education Research and Information Institute on the 25th.
According to the Office of Education, the College Admission Specialist Director is an expert who designs customized college admission strategies for each school, with one assigned to each of the 50 general high schools. These directors are divided into seven regions and provide intensive counseling and mock interviews for first- and second-year students.
The College Admission Head oversees the entire college application process for seniors, handling counseling, application submissions, and management of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). In addition, the Gwangju College Admission Heads’ Council is formed to strengthen systematic support for college admissions.
The Office of Education plans to establish a customized college guidance system for all grade levels through this inauguration ceremony and enhance guidance expertise by holding council meetings once a month.
Superintendent Lee Jeongseon said, "We will support the future of students with diverse abilities by providing the latest admission information quickly."
