"Exemplary Activities in the Fields of Culture, Arts, and Social Contribution"
Singer Psy (real name Park Jae-sang) will receive an honorary diploma from Yonsei University. Yonsei University announced that it will award the honorary diploma at the degree conferment ceremony held on the 24th at the main auditorium of the Sinchon Campus in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
An official explained, "We highly evaluated his exemplary activities in promoting the name of Yonsei not only in South Korea but globally, as well as his contributions in the fields of culture, arts, and social service." Psy, who introduced K-pop to the world with hits like "Gangnam Style," was also appointed as a special professor at the Yonsei Institute of the Arts in 2023.
