Yongin-si Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in Public Data Administration Evaluation

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it was selected as an "Excellent" institution, the highest grade, in the "2024 Public Data Provision and Data-Driven Administration Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This evaluation assessed the level of data-driven administrative services for 679 institutions, including central administrative agencies and local governments.

The city's "Regional Lifelong Education Status Analysis for Establishing a Data-Driven Lifelong Education System," conducted last year to survey the status of lifelong learning in the region, was recognized as an exemplary case in this evaluation. Based on this data, the city predicted the demand for lifelong learning among citizens, set future directions for lifelong learning projects, and restructured ongoing projects according to their characteristics. The city plans to utilize the analyzed data for lifelong learning projects and the establishment of learning centers.

In the "Data-Driven Administration Evaluation" category, the city also received perfect scores in "Performance in Discovering Data Analysis Tasks" and "Compliance Rate and Utilization Performance of Shared Data Registration."

A city official stated, "We will continuously discover and analyze public data that can be used in citizens' daily lives to create a citizen-centered public data usage environment."
