Joint Efforts of Civil, Government, Military, and Police in Full Swing for Festival Preparations
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held a preparation briefing session for the successful hosting of the 63rd Jinhae Gunhangje Festival at the Jinhae District Office's medium conference room, reviewing the detailed plans.
The briefing session, chaired by Vice Mayor Jo Myeong-rae on the 21st, was attended by about 30 people including representatives from Changwon Special City, the police, military units, and related organizations, who presented the progress in 26 areas such as festival safety and traffic measures.
Departments in charge of each area and related organizations exchanged opinions regarding event preparations and pledged to make active efforts through organic cooperation to ensure a successful festival.
Vice Mayor Jo urged, “Until the opening, please thoroughly review all matters in each area so that tourists visiting Jinhae can enjoy the event more comfortably and safely, and make every effort in preparing the festival.”
Meanwhile, the 63rd Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, marking its 63rd year, will open with a ceremony at 7 p.m. on March 28 and will be held for nine days from March 29 to April 6 throughout the Jinhae District.
This year’s Gunhangje Festival is preparing distinctive attractions and diverse cultural and artistic events including △2025 Jinhae Military Band Festival △Cherry Blossom Music & EDM Festival △Yi Sun-sin Victory Parade △Patriotic Parade △Jinhaeru Multimedia Marine Fireworks Show △Yeojuacheon Starlight Festival △Black Eagles Air Show △Military Base Openings (Naval Academy, Naval Jinhae Base Command), and plans to attract accommodation-type cruises linked with the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival to provide tourists with unique experiences.
