Samsung C&T Corporation has won the contract for the Daerim Garak Apartment reconstruction project in Songpa-gu, Seoul, worth 454.4 billion KRW. The proposed name for the complex after reconstruction is 'Raemian Viache'.

The Daerim Garak Apartment Reconstruction Association in Songpa-gu, Seoul (hereinafter referred to as Daerim Garak Reconstruction) passed a resolution on the 22nd to select Samsung C&T as the construction company.
Samsung C&T proposed 'Raemian Viache' as the new complex name. Viache is a combination of the characters for 'to prepare' (備), 'elegant' (雅), and 'color' (彩), meaning 'a space embracing elegant light' and 'a space where elegance and harmony coexist.'
The Daerim Garak Reconstruction project involves developing a total of 9 buildings with 867 households and neighborhood living facilities on a 35,241㎡ site at 217 Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, ranging from 3 basement floors to 35 above-ground floors. The construction cost is approximately 454.4 billion KRW.
Daerim Garak Reconstruction is a super-station area complex adjacent to Bangi Station on Subway Line 5. Nearby schools include Bangsan Elementary, Seryun Middle, Seokchon Middle, Bangsan High, and Changdeok Girls' High School. It offers excellent natural surroundings such as Olympic Park and Seokchon Lake, along with convenient residential infrastructure including Lotte Hotel World, Songpa District Office, and large hospitals.
The exterior of the complex is designed to harmonize balanced vertical architectural forms with horizontal rhythms, featuring a unique facade pattern that modernly reinterprets balconies, presenting a distinctive design.

The sky community, located approximately 100 meters high, will include a sky lounge and guest house with views of Olympic Park and Lotte World Tower, as well as terraces. The sunken community on the lower floors, designed to enhance openness, will house diverse facilities such as a dining cafe, fitness center, and library. To improve residents' convenience, a street-type commercial area is also planned within the complex cultural space.
The residential performance will be significantly enhanced with specialized technologies such as an upgraded inter-floor noise prevention system and the Home Platform HomeNick service, along with various specialized floor plans including panoramic dining and three-dimensional panoramic living rooms.
Kim Myung-seok, Vice President and Head of the Housing Business Division at Samsung C&T, stated, "We focused on upgrading the complex to meet the needs of the association members by leveraging the advantage of Daerim Garak Apartments’ high ratio of medium-to-large units. We will ensure the prompt and stable progress of the project and faithfully implement the proposed conditions."
The Hanyang 3rd Apartment Reconstruction Association, adjacent to Daerim Garak Apartments, is also scheduled to hold a general meeting on the 22nd of next month to approve a private contract with Samsung C&T. If Samsung C&T is finally selected as the construction company, it plans to introduce a new integrated reconstruction model by developing the two adjacent complexes as if they were one large-scale complex.
