Tomorrow (the 23rd), the whole country is expected to be mostly clear, but the cold wave will continue.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the nation will be mostly clear with strong winds blowing, maintaining the cold weather. Snow will fall from dawn to afternoon in the Chungnam region, central and southern Chungbuk, the west coast and southern inland of Jeonbuk, and the western part of Jeonnam.
Expected snowfall amounts are 1 to 5 cm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Gwangju, Jeonnam (excluding the eastern southern coast), the west coast and southern inland of Jeonbuk, and the mid-mountain areas of Jeju Island; around 1 cm in central and southern Chungbuk, northern inland Jeonbuk, and coastal areas of Jeju Island; and 3 to 8 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
Expected precipitation amounts are less than 5 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam; around 1 mm in central and southern Chungbuk; and around 5 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam (excluding the eastern southern coast), Jeonbuk, and Jeju Island. From the 22nd for three days, 5 to 20 cm of snow or 5 to 20 mm of rain is forecasted for Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
Temperatures will remain low for the time being, and strong winds will make the wind chill even colder.
Minimum temperatures in major areas will be ▲Seoul -7°C ▲Incheon -7°C ▲Chuncheon -11°C ▲Gangneung -5°C ▲Daejeon -6°C ▲Sejong -6°C ▲Gwangju -4°C ▲Jeonju -4°C ▲Daegu -5°C ▲Busan -3°C ▲Jeju 2°C.
Maximum temperatures will be ▲Seoul 0°C ▲Incheon -1°C ▲Chuncheon 2°C ▲Gangneung 4°C ▲Daejeon 2°C ▲Sejong 1°C ▲Gwangju 2°C ▲Jeonju 2°C ▲Daegu 3°C ▲Busan 5°C ▲Jeju 4°C.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea.
Fine dust levels will be 'good' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
