Selection of Six Thank-You Gifts and Suppliers Reflecting Local Characteristics
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam has additionally selected thank-you gifts and suppliers reflecting local characteristics through the review of the Hometown Love Donation Program Thank-You Gift Selection Committee.
The six newly selected thank-you gifts and suppliers are expected to revitalize Yangsan's local economy while offering donors attractive local specialties from Yangsan.
The added suppliers include ‘Yangsan Maehwa Sand,’ which makes handmade plum blossom-shaped cookies using plums, apples, and strawberries, and ‘Sambo Farm,’ which supplies fresh, high-quality eggs with shell number 1, providing donors with healthy food products.
‘Yeondahyang,’ a tea supplier, adds the natural healthiness and local flavor by offering teas made from Yangsan lotus root leaves and lotus roots. ‘Sosohan Gonggan’ provides handmade soaps made using plums and Yangsan Makgeolli, allowing people to feel the sentiment of Yangsan in their daily lives through these thank-you gifts.
Also included are ‘Saninyo,’ a ceramic master with multiple awards who produces ceramics, and the workshop ‘Yein3512,’ which offers unique ceramic experiences. These products embody Yangsan City's traditional culture and artistry, promising donors special experiences and precious souvenirs.
Yangsan City is expected to contribute to the local economy by developing various thank-you gifts and collaborating with excellent local businesses to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows any Korean citizen to make donations to local governments other than their current residence, receiving a full tax credit up to 100,000 KRW, a 16.5% tax credit on amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW, and thank-you gifts worth up to 30% of the donation.
Oh Young-seon, head of the Collection Division, stated, “We hope to continuously discover products utilizing local resources and use this as an opportunity to increase citizens’ interest and participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.”
