Gochang County to Accept Applications for Forestry Direct Payment from Next Month

Applications Accepted Until April for Forestry Workers’ Income Stabilization

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do will accept applications for the 2025 Forestry and Forest Public Direct Payment Program from the 1st of next month until April.

According to the county on the 21st, the Forestry Direct Payment System is a program that provides direct payments to forestry workers who produce forest products such as jujube, walnut, and chestnut, or who are engaged in afforestation or forest management in eligible forest areas, in order to enhance the public benefits of forests and stabilize the income of forestry workers.

Eligible applicants are forestry workers who have completed registration of their forestry management entities in eligible forest areas between April 1, 2019, and September 30, 2022, and who meet certain qualifications and comply with required obligations.

This year, for the convenience of forestry workers, the application period for the Forestry Direct Payment Program will start one month earlier and be extended by one month.

Online applications can be submitted from the 1st to the 31st of next month through the ‘Forestry-in Integrated Portal,’ while in-person applications can be submitted by visiting the township or town administrative welfare center responsible for the location of the forest from April 1 to 30 and submitting the registration application form.
