"Attempt to Eliminate the Moon and Cho Families," Claims in Letter
Expresses Gratitude to Cha Bumgeun for Submitting Petition
Former leader of the Joguk Innovation Party, Cho Guk, urged the investigation and punishment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, and other related parties for the crime of 'preparatory conspiracy to commit murder' in connection with the notebook of former Intelligence Commander Noh Sang-won. Cho, who is serving a two-year sentence at Seoul Southern Prison, sent a letter from prison to the Innovation Party on the 21st detailing the matter. He began by saying, "I am Cho Guk, former leader of the Joguk Innovation Party, designated as an 'A-level target for elimination' in Noh Sang-won's notebook," and expressed his anger upon hearing reports that "the insurrectionary forces led by Yoon Seok-yeol classified not only me but also the 'Jo family' and 500 innocent people as 'targets for elimination.'"
Former leader of the Innovation Party, Cho Kuk, strongly demanded the investigation and punishment of related parties, including former Intelligence Commander Noh Sang-won, who attempted to kill not only him but also his family, President Yoon Seok-yeol, and former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, on charges of "preparatory conspiracy to commit murder." He continued, "Noh Sang-won's notebook (Death Note) contains detailed methods of elimination after capture," listing △ detonating detention facilities after imprisonment △ causing death by fire △ killing with grenades, etc. △ poisoning food with explosives or chemicals △ beating to death △ confirmed shooting. He particularly emphasized that "the entire Moon Jae-in and Jo families were listed as 'targets for elimination,' aiming to wipe out the Moon and Jo family lines."
Cho stated, "The prosecution, loyal to Yoon Seok-yeol, repeatedly investigated and harassed the Moon and Jo families, but neither family died," and expressed outrage, saying, "Therefore, Noh Sang-won and his 'murder gang' ultimately decided to kill." He further pointed out, "The Criminal Act punishes not only completed and attempted murder but also preparatory conspiracy and even the stage of planning murder without execution. Especially, 'murder for the purpose of insurrection' is separately stipulated. The actions of former Commander Noh and others clearly violate the Criminal Act."
He then urged, "Investigative agencies and the media must uncover whose orders the preparatory conspiracy to commit murder came from and with whom it was discussed," specifically demanding, "A strict investigation of Noh Sang-won's boss, former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, and Kim's boss, Yoon Seok-yeol." He also called for "A-level target politicians to unite and defeat the far-right fascists." Meanwhile, Cho revealed, "The name of Coach Cha Bum-geun, who submitted a petition for leniency for the Jo family to the court, also appeared in Noh Sang-won's Death Note," and expressed "gratitude and apologies to Coach Cha."
