Sahmyook University Successfully Hosts MVP Camp for Prospective Freshmen Sahmyook University successfully held the 'Freshman MVP Camp' for 1,000 prospective freshmen.

The MVP Camp is Samyook University's representative holistic education program that expands freshman orientation into community character education. It started in 2010 to cultivate MVP talents with Mission, Vision, and Passion, and this year marks its 16th anniversary.

This year's MVP Camp recruited about 1,000 freshmen on a first-come, first-served basis and was held in two sessions: the first from the 18th to the 20th and the second from the 24th to the 26th. It was operated as a 2-night, 3-day residential program on campus.

The overall theme was 'Hello Future,' structured so that freshmen experience various programs through an extraordinary adventure story in which 'Suya,' the official character symbolizing Samyook University freshmen, discovers a mysterious book.

The camp featured diverse programs including △orientation △departmental meetings △talk shows △community activities △cultural night △small group activities.

In particular, the MVP Camp is planned and operated every year entirely by current students. The student staff, composed of planning, publicity, life education, leader education teams, and leaders, prepared the camp during about a month of residential training.

Je Hae-jong, president of Samyook University, said, "'MVP Camp' is the first step to nurture and establish freshmen as MVP talents," adding, "I hope it will be four years of creating dreams together."
