Cheongsong-gun has formed an emergency duty team composed of forest resource department staff to operate the wildfire prevention headquarters, maintaining a 24-hour wildfire response system by utilizing available personnel, including 60 specialized wildfire prevention and suppression members and 68 wildfire monitors.
Additionally, they have conducted a comprehensive inspection of firefighting equipment such as a helicopter exclusively leased for wildfire suppression, the Golden Time system operation, and wildfire suppression vehicles to establish an initial wildfire response system.
Furthermore, on the 19th, to prevent safety accidents among public officials deployed to wildfire sites and to ensure smooth situation management, a general public official firefighting team was organized and wildfire prevention training was conducted, establishing thorough preparedness.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “Since wildfires can occur suddenly at any time, we must not let our guard down,” and added, “We hope all residents will also adhere to wildfire prevention rules in daily life to help protect our precious forest resources.”
