"Observe Etiquette to Avoid Damaging Korea's Image"
Professor Seokyeongdeok from Sungshin Women's University criticized the incident in which a Korean woman in her 20s was arrested on the spot for hitting a customs officer who tried to stop her from filming an idol member in a no-photography zone inside Fukuoka Airport, Japan, calling it a "national disgrace."
On the 20th, Professor Seo raised his voice on his Facebook, saying, "When she is repatriated to Korea, a proper punishment should be given to set an example so that such incidents never happen again."
According to Mainichi Shimbun and others, the woman, identified as A, elbowed the chest of a customs officer in his 30s at the international passenger terminal of Fukuoka Airport on the afternoon of the 17th. A was filming a Korean male idol near the baggage inspection area where photography is prohibited, and when the customs officer tried to stop her, she acted in this way.
Currently, A is detained on charges of obstructing official duties. However, she reportedly denies the charges, saying, "I neither got angry nor hit anyone."

Professor Seo pointed out, "It is said that this woman additionally tried to hit the customs officer's face and caused a disturbance by lying on the floor and struggling," calling it "truly a national disgrace."
He emphasized, "Last month, a Korean teenager traveling in Osaka, Japan, was arrested on charges of sexually harassing a Japanese high school girl, and such incidents have been continuously occurring overseas these days. Korean tourists must strictly observe basic etiquette abroad to avoid damaging the image of the Republic of Korea."
